What is Student Mobility for Traineeship?
Student Mobility for Traineeship is when a student registered at a higher education institution undertakes an internship in a company located in a European Union member country or at a university with an Erasmus University Charter. Internship Mobility aims to increase students’ basic and professional knowledge, skills and competence levels; to increase foreign language proficiency; understand the importance of social, linguistic and cultural diversity by strengthening intercultural dialogue; It aims to actively participate in democratic life and the labour market.
Traineeship mobilities completed within the scope of Erasmus+ are credited and recognized by our university. The student’s traineeship mobility will be clearly stated in the student’s graduation transcript and diploma supplement.
Who can benefit from Student Mobility for Traineeship?
Student Mobility for Studies is available to full-time associate, undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students in higher education institutions. The minimum required academic GPA to benefit from the program is:
Senior students can benefit from the program. Graduated students must be selected by their higher education institutions during the last academic year and must complete their internship abroad within a maximum of one year (12 months) after graduation. This also includes “assistantships” for students who are teacher candidates.
Which institutions/organizations are suitable for internship?
The host institution/organization must meet one of the following options:
A Higher Education Institution holding the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE); or any public or private institution/organization operating in the labor market or in the fields of education, training and youth. For example, such an institution/organization:
-Small, medium or large-scale private or public institution or institution/organization (including social enterprises)
-A public institution/organization at local, regional or national level
-A social partner or other representative of working life, including chambers of commerce, trades/professional associations and trade unions
-Research institute
-Foundation
-School/institute/education center (at any level, with institutions/organizations operating in the field of education from pre-school education to high school and post-secondary education (including vocational education and adult education)
-Non-profit institution/organization, association, NGO
-Institutions/organizations that provide career guidance, vocational consultancy and information services
Unlike Erasmus Student Mobility for Studies, many departments do not have bilateral agreements within the scope of Erasmus Student Mobility for Traineeship. For this reason, students must contact the institutions individually before the application process.
The following organizations are not eligible for higher education internship activity within the scope of Erasmus+:

Organizations running EU programmes. (for ex. National Agency)
How much is the grant amount for traineeship mobility?

*Students are paid 80% of their grants after they meet all the necessary conditions at the beginning of the mobility. At the end of the exchange mobility, 20% of their grant is paid after they meet all the necessary conditions. However, if the students do not fulfill their responsibilities, the Erasmus internship will be canceled and the grant paid will be refunded.
